Same-day event photography and video production at Victoria's newest convention venue — also known as GCEC. A local Geelong crew that knows every space, from the 1,000-seat theatre to the waterfront foyers.
Opened in July 2026, Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre — the venue formerly planned as the Geelong Convention and Event Centre (GCEC) — is Victoria's newest purpose-built convention destination. The $449m waterfront centre brings a 1,000-seat theatre, around 3,700 square metres of exhibition and event space, meeting rooms, and banquet facilities to 80 Western Beach Road on the Geelong waterfront, with hotel accommodation moments away and Geelong Station a short walk up the hill.
Nyaal Banyul is a Wadawurrung name meaning "open your eyes to the hills" — a gift of language from the Traditional Owners of Djilang (Geelong), and a fitting name for a venue that opens onto Corio Bay.
Plenary & keynotes
The centrepiece plenary theatre for keynotes, conference openings, awards ceremonies, and touring productions.
How we shoot it — One integrated crew covers the theatre for stills and motion together — coordinated positions, shared lighting awareness, and a single delivery pipeline for everything captured on stage.
Exhibitions & trade shows
Around 3,700 m² of flexible, divisible event space for exhibitions, trade shows, and large-scale corporate functions.
How we shoot it — Exhibition days run to a plan: sponsors and exhibitors are scheduled, floor peaks are anticipated, and photo and video teams split the hall so nothing gets missed.
Workshops & breakouts
A suite of meeting and breakout rooms for concurrent conference sessions, workshops, and boardroom-style events.
How we shoot it — Concurrent sessions are the test of a well-run crew — we plan room rotations against your program so parallel streams are covered without anyone noticing us work.
Dinners & awards nights
Banquet-configured spaces for gala dinners, awards nights, and cocktail receptions with waterfront views.
How we shoot it — Gala nights reward preparation: we scout the room set, plan for the lighting design rather than against it, and have every award moment covered from two angles.
Networking & arrivals
Light-filled foyer and pre-function areas overlooking Corio Bay — natural territory for arrivals, registration, and networking breaks.
How we shoot it — The bay-facing glass is the venue’s signature: both our stills and video teams build their coverage plans around that light across the day.

Whether your event brief says Nyaal Banyul, GCEC, or Geelong Convention Centre, it’s the same venue — and we cover it.
Yes — we provide event photography and full video production at Nyaal Banyul, separately or as one crew with one booking. That includes same-day edited photos, multi-camera presentation capture, live streaming, and social media reels delivered during your event.
Same day. Edited, colour-graded photos are typically delivered within hours of capture, and highlight reels can be turned around while your event is still running — so your team can post while delegates are still in the building.
